Your First Brand Draft Can Be Generated Automatically

When you open the Brand page for an idea that does not already have brand data, Funderly can generate the first draft for you. That gives you a starting point instead of an empty screen.

This first draft is meant to be refined. Treat it as a direction to react to, not the final answer.

Use Edit Brand Assets to Open the Brand Wizard

The main entry point for editing is the Edit Brand Assets button on the Brand page. That opens the Brand Wizard, which walks through the live brand steps in sequence and saves progress as you move forward.

If you close the wizard with unsaved changes, Funderly warns you before exiting so you do not lose work accidentally.

Choose the Name First, Then Refine the Slogan

Step 1 focuses on the brand name, including AI suggestions you can pick from or overwrite manually. Step 2 focuses on the slogan, again with editable suggestions and the ability to save your chosen version.

These two steps work best when your underlying business positioning is already clear. Vague positioning usually creates weak names and generic slogans.

  • Pick the name that best matches the business, not just the most creative option.
  • Use the slogan to clarify value, audience, or tone.
  • Expect plan limits to affect how many suggestions are available.

Use the Color Step to Build a Coherent Visual Direction

The Colors step generates palettes based on the chosen brand name and slogan. Once you select a palette, the Brand page lets you review the core colors and copy values in HEX, RGB, or CMYK.

Palette depth depends on plan access. Funderly keeps the color workflow tied to your live brand data so the selected palette can be reflected across the wider workspace and exports.

Logo and Domain Steps Are Not the Main Live Workflow Yet

You will see Logo and Domain steps in the Brand Wizard, but they are currently marked as coming soon. The active brand workflow today is centered on name, slogan, and color choices.

That means the most important job of the Brand workspace right now is to create a strong verbal and visual system, not a finished logo toolchain.

Your Brand Data Flows Into the Wider Workspace

Brand choices do not stay isolated on the Brand page. Funderly uses that brand data in places like the idea sidebar, overview previews, business plan context, and export outputs where relevant.

Because of that, it is worth tightening the brand once the business direction is stable. Better brand inputs improve how polished the rest of the workspace feels.
